Carno has excellent transport links by road and by bus (including the local train station at Caersws on the Heart of Wales line) offering easy connections to Machynlleth and Aberystwyth to the west and Shrewsbury and Birmingham to the east which in turn offer further connections to London and beyond.

In addition to its many attractions, as the largest town in central Wales, Newtown provides the ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside.
